In 2009, High Tides expanded to create THE BLACK PEARL TIKI BAR! Bryan and Vickie loved traveling to tropical destinations and brought home that fun-loving atmosphere (and Palm Trees) to share with FAMILY AND FRIENDS!Since then, The Black Pearl has sponsored many special events—including the annual Bike Fest and Country Fest—and many free concerts on the beach!

The NEW Hightidez.com website and NEW Black Pearl Tiki Bar app have been created in loving memory of “Team Momma” Vickie Coffman. She lost her battle with cancer in January 2017, but her dedication to excellence continues. Thanks for your patronage and ongoing support of High Tides on the Potomac and The Black Pearl Tiki Bar!

Colonial Beach, located at the northern tip of Virginia's Northern Neck, is one of the few remaining small seaport towns on the Potomac River. The town enjoys a unique location nestled between the Potomac River on the east and the waters of Monroe Bay on the West. Its sandy beaches and marinas on Monroe Bay have attracted water sporting enthusiasts for over a century. Fishing, sailing, boating, swimming and crabbing are just a few of the water activities enjoyed here. A great place to visit. Colonial Beach is also a very historical area, with Washington's Birthplace and Stratford Hall boyhood home of Lee, also Westmoreland County is the birthplace of James Monroe. The small river town was in it's heyday during the 40's & 50's and there's a renaissance happening. If you haven't been here lately, you owe it to yourself to visit.

The Colonial Beach area has three fishing piers. Colonial Beach Municipal Pier is located right in Colonial Beach, as its name suggests, and can be found at the end of Hawthorn Street. Westmoreland State Park Fishing Pier is located about 14 miles from Colonial Beach, in nearby Montross. Cat Point Creek Heritage Park Resort Pier is 26 miles from Colonial Beach. While the Heritage Park and Municipal piers require a saltwater license, the Westmoreland State Park Pier only requires a pier license.
